Which Pokemon Movie Do Fans Consider the Best?

A recent poll held in Japan was held on what fans believe is the best theatrical movie release. 2018 will be the 20th anniversary of the first Pokemon movie Mewtwo Strikes Back. The first Pokemon movie grossed over $163million and was considered a huge box office success topping charts on its’ initial release and breaking records on for an anime movie release. Of course, a lot of time has passed since then and we have seen 19 more movies released and just before the release of the 20th (I Choose You!) the Japanese site animeanime ran a poll to see which movies stood out as the best from the Pokemon franchise.

Released in 1997 and almost 2 decades on is still considered by fans the best Pokemon movie.

It will come as no surprise that in at number one was Mewtwo strikes back. Fans always remember the first and it has withstood the test of time coming in as the number one Pokemon movie Japanese fans love.
