Cinema Eclectica 109 – Moon-Faced Super Mario

Cinema Eclectica 109 – Moon-Faced Super Mario

We span the wheel of directors and out popped William Friedkin, so this week we take a look at the ever-growing cult of 1977’s “Sorcerer” (a.k.a. Wages of Fear).

We also discuss one location movies, Fellini’s final hurrah in “The Voice of the Moon”, Elio Petri’s never-ending quest for the most awkward film titles in the business with “Property is no Longer a Theft” before finishing with the inimitable Takashi Miike and his “Dead or Alive” trilogy. Also, we apologise in advance if you leave this week’s show with an image involving Fellini and Tarantino rattling away in your brain. Sorry.

Archaeon

Co-founder of The Geek Show Podcast Network. Chief Editor and Executive Producer of thegeekshow.co.uk, and tangentially overburdened host/co-presenter of several shows on the network. When I'm not engaged in production, journalistic shenanigans or the quagmire that is media criticism I watch movies, interesting TV shows and anime, I also enjoy the arts (you know, classical music and stuff), write many, many things, play and collect a lot of video games, read lots of manga, comics and books, and generally enjoy wallowing in the mass of entertainment media like a hippo in mud. I can also cook.
