The Old White Stripes Manoeuvre – Cinema Eclectica 224

This week Rob and Graham seek out “Ready or Not”, the buzzy new horror-comedy from V/H/S’s Radio Silence collective. It’s been hailed by the online horror community, but Rob’s been burned that way many times before so does this hit the mark?

Off the Shelf sees us return to a show favourite director – the legendary Samuel Fuller – with Graham reviewing Criterion’s new Blu-Ray of “The Naked Kiss”. Meanwhile, Rob continues his voyage into the works of the late Agnes Varda with 1985’s “Vagabond”.

There’s also – and I know you’re all excited by this – some talk of DVD menu screens. Oh yes.

Co-founder of The Geek Show Podcast Network. Chief Editor and Executive Producer of, and tangentially overburdened host/co-presenter of several shows on the network. When I'm not engaged in production, journalistic shenanigans or the quagmire that is media criticism I watch movies, interesting TV shows and anime, I also enjoy the arts (you know, classical music and stuff), write many, many things, play and collect a lot of video games, read lots of manga, comics and books, and generally enjoy wallowing in the mass of entertainment media like a hippo in mud. I can also cook.
