The comics and manga merry-go-round returns for more shenanigans, and this week things have been happening!

Kicking things off this week is the news that James Gunn has been fired from Disney Marvel as director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 for tweets he made years ago that they already knew about and that he’d already apologised for – make of that what you will. In other news, Chelsea Cain returns to Marvel for a new Vision series, and also teams up with Kate Niemczyk for a new Image series, pilot scripts are announced for Mega-City One, Netflix picks up the live-action TV series adaptation of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez’s Lovecraftian supernatural/horror series Locke and Key, and Robert De Niro will star in Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker Movie. In addition to all of that Andrew and Rob offer their considered opinions about the trailers for DC’s upcoming superhero movies Aquaman and Shazam,

*Phew* … it’s an unusually packed episode this week.

So, moving on to the serious business of actual comics and manga, this week we’ve got Wolverine: Savage Origins, volume 1 of Hellboy: The Complete Short Stories, Ant-Man: Astonishing Origins, and Star Wars: Han Solo.
