It’s often said that it’s not the destination that’s important but the journey itself, which is good news for us as we often wonder how can start with a simple bit of news and wind up somewhere … else. Aside from that it’s time for your weekly dose of comic-book and manga goodness which will be administered through your ears by Andrew, Producer Rob and Editor Rob.

Kicking things off is the news that the rather excellent series Injection by Warren Ellis has been optioned for TV – something that we’re all looking forward to. After that we discuss the villains in the second season of Luke Cage, and the announcement that C. B. Cebulski and Hiro Mashima will both be judges in a collaborative award between Kodansha and Marvel that will focus on certain superhero manga.

Our featured comics and manga are Image’s Rumble, Marvel Legacy, The Sentry, Arakawa Under the Bridge volumes 1 & 2 by Hikaru Nakamura, Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and The Enormous Profit (volume 2 in the series), and the first volume of the surrealist comedy manga City by Keiichi Arawi (the creator of Nichijou: My Ordinary Life).
