Cinema Eclectica 37 – The Made-Up Words Club

Archaeon

This week don’t need a dictionary… because we ARE the dictionary.

Off the Shelf is top-filled with the usual oddities – Samuel Fuller’s noir Pick-Up on South Street, Woody Allen’s maligned Curse of the Jade Scorpion, M. Night Shyamalan’s latest attempt to salvage his career (a.k.a. The Visit), and Second Run’s first ever foray into theatrical releases with Pedro Costa’s Horse Money. We finish off the show’s eclectic line-up with our Film of the Week – Baltasar Kormákur’s Everest.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to turn more awful movies into sitcoms. You’re welcome.
