Cinema Eclectica 46 – Pete Best of the Apocalypse

Archaeon

This week we go full fan-theory. Brave waters indeed.

In Off the Shelf we have a body-horror masterclass with David Cronenberg’s “Videodrome”, Jules Dassin’s “Thieves Highway” – the film-noir that’s totally not a western, Wong Kar Wai’s “The Grandmaster” and a surprise aided the randomizer, which became “The Ecstasy of Wilko Johnson”. Surely that has to be a first? Our Films of the Week are a double header of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2” for the masses, and “The Dressmaker” for everyone else.

Now if you’ll excuse us, there are some Granny Smith’s with our names them.
