The 26 animated feature films that have been shortlisted for an Oscar nomination have been announced so naturally, we’re going to see what all the fuss is about …

Before all of that though, our first order of business is visiting Mark who is currently wallowing in mech-hell after his addiction flared up again due to the extreme musical stylings of Gundam Thunderbolt. After that we’re off to explore the forest in Goro Miyazaki’s adaptation of Astrid Lindgren’s children’s novel Ronja: The Robber’s Daughter (Sanzoku no Musume Ronja or Ronja Rövardotter) – which is also the first ever anime TV series produced by Studio Ghibli.
