Wasp Network – Cinema Eclectica Podcast 260

Archaeon

Fans of podcasts where two people can’t agree on a single film, your ship has come in, because this week Graham and Tim are reviewing Olivier Assayas’s divisive Netflix original Wasp Network! Which reviewer compared it to “a Communist version of The A-Team”? And, more importantly, did they mean it as a criticism or a compliment?

Elsewhere Tim reviews Amazon Prime’s low-budget SF hit The Vast of Night. Graham has classic noir from Eureka Masters of Cinema with Criss Cross – did it make him jump, jump? – and Mick drops by to review Arrow Video’s reissue of Dream Demon, an 80s horror laden with before-they-were-famous appearances.

There’s also a Question of the Week celebrating the late Ian Holm, and some contributions from the blackbirds nesting in Graham’s back garden. Because we can all meet up outdoors now, I guess.
