Horror Channel continues to explore THE VINTAGE VAULT with four more Sunday night classic genre double-bills this June

Vincent Gaine

This June, Horror Channel takes us on another journey into the history of genre cinema with THE VINTAGE VAULT, presenting double-bills of classic sci-fi and horror films every Sunday night.

The first incursion into the vault takes place on Sunday June 5th with Nathan Juran’s Ray Harryhausen-inspired 20 MILLION MILES TO EARTH. This is matched with Fred F. Sears’ rampaging alien bird romp THE GIANT CLAW. Then Sunday June 12th brings us THE MONOLITH MONSTERS, in which thirsty giant crystals attack the world, which is followed by the beastly mutant classic THE DEADLY MANTIS.

Sunday June 19th sees the arrival of brilliantly lurid THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957), directed by Terence Fisher, as well as drive-in favourite THE BLOB, starring Steve McQueen. Sunday June 26th closes the month with a Terence Fisher double-bill, featuring the hypnotically sensual and gory DRACULA (1958), the adaptation that launched Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee onto the global stage. The magnificent Peter Cushing also appears in the evening’s second film, Fisher’s equally successful adaptation of the classic Universal monster movies, THE REVENGE OF FRANKENSTEIN.
