1917 – Cinema Eclectica Podcast 258

It’s been a while since we did a B-sides show – those intermittent collections of new cinema releases that we didn’t cover at the time of release. And that’s largely because, er, there aren’t any cinemas open – but that doesn’t stop Sarah, Rob and Graham from having some films from January, February and March to consider.

For Rob, there’s two of the biggest films of the year – Sam Mendes’s World War One-Take epic 1917 and Leigh Whannel’s revisionist take on The Invisible Man. Sarah has Michael Winterbottom’s Greed, starring Steve Coogan as Not Philip Green, and true-life sexual harassment drama Bombshell. She and Graham also cover Misbehaviour, in which a frankly huge ensemble tell the story of the protests at the 1970 Miss World pageant. Give us a twirl.
