A Nice Meander With Mike Leander – Cinema Eclectica 232

Archaeon

Knock knock.

Who’s there?

Yes, that’s right – but in the second half of the show.

First, Sarah, Graham and Aidan review show favourite Mia Wasikowska’s new film “Judy & Punch”. Medieval puppeteer revenge black comedy is, of course, a tough genre to pull off, so is this the way to do it?

Aidan kicks off the second half of the show with the reissue of “Tommy” – the legendary collaboration between Ken Russell and The Who. After that it’s Graham’s turn to get polemical with Peter Watkins’s dystopian “Privilege”, before Sarah rounds things off with a brand new BFI Blu-Ray of the late Milos Forman’s “Hair”.

The film he made called “Hair”, not an actual lock of his hair. Although we’d probably review that too.
