Bacurau – Cinema Eclectica Podcast 248

Archaeon

Not saying we planned this or anything, but this week’s Film of the Week will be on Mubi by the end of the month. That’s handy, isn’t it? Don’t expect a stress-free quarantine if you watch Bacurau, though. The Brazilian genre-hopper is ferocious, full-on and – as Rob and Graham discover – fantastic.

In the second half, Rob reviews Bernard Rose’s Samurai Marathon, and we ponder which sports films need more love. There’s also the third part of our Bond retrospective, with Mark looking at the ups and downs of the up-and-downiest period of the franchise, the Moore years. And finally Mick adds a touch of Magic with Second Sight’s reissue of the 1978 chiller.
