Dear White People – Cinema Eclectica Podcast 28

Archaeon

This week we triumphantly pronounced all the words – and in the correct order too!

Instead of getting lost in all of the news from San Diego’s Comic-Con, we decided to keep the show relatively normal … well, as normal as it gets around here anyway. We have a fairly eccentric “Off the Shelf” section with reviews for Happiness of the Katakuris, Asif Kapadia’s documentary about Amy Winehouse – simply titled “Amy”, Walerian Borowczyk‘s Blanche, and Fuku-Chan of Fukufuku Flats from Third Window. Our Film of the week is Dear White People – Justin Simien’s controversial satire about race relations.

Now if you’ll excuse us, we’re off to the local zoo to keep the pythons company.
