A double-bill of genre-bending horror movies this week, which makes it all the stranger that we struggled to think of recommendations to watch with our Film of the Week. Sometimes we are very dumb.

Said Film of the Week is the latest product of our Directors Lottery system, Wes Craven’s The People Under the Stairs, in which the progenitor of Freddy Krueger gets flesh-ripping mad about Reaganomics. In Off the Shelf, Tim has a transatlantic counterpart with Indicator’s new Blu-Ray edition of 1974’s The Beast Must Die. It’s a werewolf whodunnit with Peter Cushing, which is a thing we didn’t know we needed but it turns out we do.
