Toshiaki Toyoda (Blue Spring & Monsters Club)

Archaeon

We’ve had the fun of the annual review, it’s time to get back to business. Joining Rob are show-regular, Graham (Horrified & Pop Screen), and Robert Edwards (YouTube), to talk about cult-Japanese director Toshiaki Toyoda. We talk about his 2001 anti-delinquent movie, Blue Spring. Then, we follow that up by looking at something from later in his career – 2011’s Monster’s Club. Other films discussed at length include Dune (2021), Swallow (2019) and Drive My Car (2021).

Typical google with all the nuance of a lead hammer. So, instead of stressing about it, we changed the name, it was still early enough for this to be possible, so, why not?
