Tense. Disturbing. Fraught with menace. But enough about the reaction to Graham’s Frozen joke, this week we review the Safdie brothers’ latest New York white-knuckler Uncut Gems. It’s got Adam Sandler as you’ve never seen him before, Idina Menzel as you’ve never seen her before and Julia Fox, who you’ve never seen before.

Off the Shelf sees Graham looking at Camilla Strøm Henriksen’s heartfelt family drama Phoenix, out now on Verve Pictures, while Mick gets to grips with Indicator’s restoration of Curtis Harrington’s Night Tide – a review which includes some surprising occult trivia. Don’t bore us, get to the Horus.
